Philip Jodidio jest uznanym na świecie autorem artykułów i książek poświęconych architekturze. Stiował historię sztuki i ekonomię na Harvardzie. W latach 1980-2002 był redaktorem naczelnym wiodoącego francuskiego magazynu o sztuce "Connaissance des Arts". Opublikował wiele książek o współczesnej architekturze w wydawnictwie TASCHEN, w tym serię Architecture Now!, Building na New Millenium oraz monografie o Tadao Ando, Renzo Piano, Santiago Calatravie, Normanie Fosterze i Richardzie Meierze.
